4. Expansion on user side: communication modules

The DVICenter can be extended with optional add-on functions:

Expansion of the system range: Fiber to the DVICenter

The DVI-FiberLink(S) increases the system range within a DVICenter

cluster by 10,000 m. The system consists of two identical modules for

the computer side (transmitter) and the console side (receiver). The

signals are transmitted using singlemode fiber optics (2 fibers).

Each DVI-FiberLink(S) system extends one access.

The DVIFiberLink(S) can be placed:

- between computer and DVICenter

- between 2 DVICenters

- between DVICenter and DVI-CON user module
